G C Laboratories currently employ 15 staff - 10 full time and 5 part-time, of which 8 are graduates, or equivalent. The company is totally owned by the two Directors and is therefore completely independent of any other organisation, company or people.

Allan Parsons jointly founded the company in 1972 with George Hart (now retired). His previous analytical chemistry experience covered the Plastics, Printing, Food and Agrochemical industries and he has now extensive further experience in these and many other fields. Despite being a director of the company Allan still takes an active role in day-to-day analysis so that he keeps in touch with all the latest methods, procedures, equipment etc.

Graham White joined the company in 1993 and became a Director in 1996. Graham's previous laboratory experience was mainly in the fields of Metallurgical Analysis, Plastics, Oils and Gases. Graham too, likes to maintain an active role in actual analyses, to ensure that both directors of the company are fully in touch both with the rest of their staff as well as the practical application of analytical techniques. |

Clare Highnam, who is the company's Senior Quality Assurance Officer, came from a background as an Analyst with a large Brewery company. She obtained her degree whilst with the brewery company and she initially joined the G C Laboratories in 1993 as an Analyst, but with the appearance of a vacancy for someone to run our Quality Assurance department, to ensure our full compliance with all GLP regulations, took over this position. |

 Jim Smith

Jim Smith, manager of our Residues Analysis Department, was trained in the Analytical Research Department of a large Chemical Company and has since been employed, as a Chemist, in several industries including Brewing, Water Treatment, and Domestic Appliance Manufacture. Jim has also, at times, lectured in chemistry at Luton College. He joined the company in 1991 and, over the years since, has established and run their well respected Residues Analysis department.

Richard Knowles joined G C Laboratories in 2003, having previously been employed in the self-adhesive paper industry in various roles in Development, Quality Assurance, and Production. Richard has a BTech degree in Colour Chemistry and Colour Technology and currently holds the position of Formulations Analysis Manager. |

Tracey Marnes is G C Laboratories Administration Manager. On completion of her BA degree Tracey worked as a production assistant for a publishing company. She joined G C Laboratories in 1998 where her excellent abilities at administrative duties were soon recognized and hence her promotion to Administration Manager. Tracey also heads the accounts department, dealing with the day-to-day accounting and payroll. |
